JAMMU – Dec 30th: District Administration Jammu, which is under the general supervision of Deputy Commissioner Avny lavasa, provided today digital land passbooks for legal owners at Seri Khurd, Nagrota, and Seri Khurd.
A Revenue Department team gave away 23 land passbooks, including 6 in Seri Khurd and 17 in Nagrota.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the many benefits of land passbooks and stated that they are true to land records and can be created online.
She stated that the Land Pass Book entries have the evidentiary values of record-of-rights, as well as other public records, for all intents & purposes before the courts and financial institutions, including Banks.
DC described the initiative in terms of improving services delivery and transparency in the Revenue records system. The DC stated that the land passport has entries in Urdu English, Hindi and Hindi languages. This will allow for filling the information gap and ease access to the revenue record.
The Land Passbook will provide information about Revenue to land owners in an extremely simple format. Additionally, it will act as a valid document to present to other financial institutions.
