Noida Police, 9 August (PTI), booked a Delhi resident on Wednesday, for allegedly sending abusive messages to the editor in chief of a television channel. One message contained insulting words about Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Police said that they had launched an investigation, and have identified the person who sent the messages on WhatsApp to the senior journalist.

“In two of the messages, the person targeted the editor-in-chief of the media house by sending abusive, deplorable and derogatory messages. In the third message, he abused the prime minister,” a channel representative told the police.  Anil Kumar Yaddav, the Deputy Chief of Police for Central Noida, said on Tuesday that an FIR had been filed at the local Phase 2 Police Station.  The FIR is filed under Indian Penal Code sections 504. (intentional injury with the intent to disturb peace) and section 505. (2) (statements that promote enmity animosity or ill will between classes).

“We have identified the suspect. Delhi is thought to be his residence. It seems that he was also involved in mischiefs of this nature before. The police have sent him a notice and asked him to join the inquiry,” Yadav told PTI.  PTI KIS SRY SRY
