Sushi-Inspired 3D-Printed Confections : 3D-printed confections

Sugar Lab claims to be the “world’s first digital baker” and is a specialist in 3D-printed confections. The brand recently introduced a new product, the Sushi Roll Bonbons. The set includes six bonbons. They are printed using powdered Sugar and filled with hojicha (a tea-based powder that is made from finely ground roasted green, traditional Kyoto tea) ganache. Sugar Lab’s top chocolatiers combine hojicha with smooth milk chocolate. The strong umami flavor is added by the tahini.

Sugar Lab’s 3D-printed sushi confections were created by Sugar Lab’s designers. They “painstakingly studied rice texture and delicate colors of pink, white, and orange to create the perfect marbling of fresh salmon.”
