Bob Dylan apologises for using a computer-generated signature on prints and new book, The Philosophy of Modern Son

Simon & Schuster, who published Dylan’s latest book as well as his successful Chronicles900 copies were issued and refunded by the company.

He is prolific and wrote more than 600 songs, many books, and created countless visual art works, including large oil paintings and drawings. His works are still available on Castle Fine Art. Any current print owners will be examining the authenticity of the signatures in light of this news.

According to Variety magazineVan Morrison was recently charged in forums with using autopen to sign CDs. His management however, issued a statement discrediting the accusation. Sinead O’Connor, however, owned up to doing it with her signed memoir, with no apologies. Both of these cases saw the disputed items selling for less $50, which limited the potential for controversy.
