Bye, Skirts! ’19 Kids and Counting’ Jinger Duggar’s Best Moments Wearing Pants: See Photos

Leader of the pack Jinger Duggar was the leader of the pack! As a part of their family’s traditional beliefs, Jinger, 28, and the rest of her nine sisters were raised to only wear dresses and skirts. Jinger began to prefer pants as she got older. She did so, and has done so all her adult lives. The 19 Kids and Counting alum even wore pants to her brother Jeremiah Duggar’s wedding in March 2022. Reddit posted a photo of Jinger, which showed her rebellious fashion choices. Jinger is wearing short-sleeved, flowing clothes in the photo. Her sisters Johannah, Jennifer and Jennifer were also pictured. Because of their conservative beliefs modesty was a key part of the Duggar family. Growing Up Duggar (2014) explains the reasons their parents had for the strict and out-of-date dress code. “We do not dress modestly because we are ashamed of the body God has given us; quite the contrary. We realize that our body is a special gift from God and that He intends for it to be shared only with our future husband,” they said. In her memoir, The Hope We Hold, the author discussed that her mother’s reason for dressing the Duggar girls in dresses and skirts came from the Bible verse Deuteronomy 22:5. When Jingar married her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, in 2016, she decided to ditch the skirts and explore other fashion choices … and also dive deep into the Bible herself. After finding out that the Bible didn’t have any verses that forbid women to wear pants, she made the garment her new staple in her closet. Although she decided to alter her style against the beliefs of her family, the mother of two struggled with the transition. Jinger’s new outlook on life was noticed by her siblings. The other Duggar sisters started wearing pants occasionally as they became able to make their own choices. Take a look at Jinger Duggar’s best moments sporting pants!
